Today the Young Republican National Federation (YRNF) announces that Lisa Marie Stickan has officially assumed the role of Chairman of the YRNF.

Stickan previously served as the Co-Chairman of the YRNF. Per the succession plan of YRNF, she officially assumes the Chairmanship today.

"I am honored to serve as Chairman of the YRNF. In this new role,  I look forward to continuing to serve our State organizations and YRs across the country as we approach this critical election cycle.", said Chairman Stickan.

Chairman Stickan is currently an Assistant Prosecutor for Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and was elected last year as a Councilwoman in the city of Highland Heights. She also previously served as the President of the Greater Cleveland Young Republicans (2003-2007); the Ohio Young Republican Chairman (2007-2009); Midwest Regional  Vice-Chair of the YRNF (2007-2009); and, most recently, as the  YRNF Co-Chairman. Additionally, Stickan has served in numerous Ohio-area campaigns and party leadership roles.

Yesterday Young Republican National Federation (YRNF) Chairman Audra Shay (LA) announced via email that she will be resigning. Per the succession plan of the YRNF, Co-Chairman Lisa Stickan (OH) has assumed the duties of Chairman. Ms. Stickan will assume the position of Chairman once Ms. Shay's resignation becomes official.

Ms. Stickan previously served as Chairman of the Ohio Young Republicans, the President of the Greater Cleveland YRs, and as the YRNF Midwest Regional Vice Chair.

"I look forward to continuing to serve our state organizations and YRs across the country with these new responsibilities", said Ms. Stickan. She continued, "I am looking forward to working with YRs to take back our country in 2010 and beyond."

YRNF Co-Chair Lisa Stickan to break new TEA party ground.
 
The Young Republican National Federation (YRNF) is excited to announce that YRNF Co-Chair Lisa Stickan will be one of the key event speakers at the first Tea Party event to be held on a college campus.
 
The event will be held at John Carroll University (Cleveland, Ohio) and has been widely proclaimed as the first Tea Party to be held on a college campus in the United States.
 
"It is exciting to see these students taking a stand on their own campus. I am encouraged to see these younger voters vocalize their conservative political views and engage the other members of their school. This fervor that is sweeping our country will lead to victorious results for conservative Republicans this fall.", said Ms. Stickan.

This weekend wrapped up another successful YRNF national committee / board meeting with more than 100 of you joining us in New Orleans. Thank you all for coming out to New Orleans, working in your home clubs, and being active young republicans in general!

For those of you that could not make it, the YRNF State Chairman, National Committeemen and Women and other young republicans met for the spring board meeting in New Orleans this past weekend to network, participate in training sessions, hear from Republican leaders, discuss current affairs, and conduct business and committee meetings of the YRNF.

The Southern Republican Leadership Conference and the Young Republican National Federation Spring Board Meeting are just a week away! Here are some recent updates to the agenda:  

Registration for YRNF board meeting: 
Friday, April 9th registration will begin at 9am at the Hilton Riverside and will run all day through the evening reception.  Registration will resume Saturday at 8:30AM at the Wyndham Whitney Hotel and continue at the St. Bernard Parish Government Complex (where we are holding their board meeting.
